Our Restaurant

A Culinary Heritage Experience
Nestled in a 160-year-old barn, Hickory Bridge Farm’s restaurant offers guests a truly authentic farm-to-table dining experience steeped in American history and tradition. The barn itself, originally constructed in the 1840s and lovingly restored after a fire in 1887, stands as a living monument to the region’s agricultural roots. Inside, diners are greeted by a warm, rustic atmosphere adorned with hundreds of genuine farm antiques, period furnishings, and fine linens that evoke the spirit of rural Pennsylvania. The restaurant’s menu is a celebration of local flavors and seasonal bounty, featuring classic dishes such as house salad, spiced peaches, stewed apples, corn fritters, and fresh vegetables sourced from nearby farms[2][5]. Family-style service is at the heart of the dining experience, encouraging guests to share abundant platters and enjoy communal hospitality reminiscent of a bygone era. Whether you’re savoring a hearty Sunday dinner or gathering for a special occasion, every meal at Hickory Bridge Farm is a journey through centuries of culinary heritage, where quality, abundance, and heartfelt service come together to create lasting memories. The restaurant’s commitment to tradition and excellence has made it a beloved destination for locals and visitors alike, just minutes from historic Gettysburg.

Our Bed and Breakfast

Comfort, Charm, and History
Hickory Bridge Farm’s bed and breakfast retreat offers guests a peaceful escape in the scenic foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, just nine miles west of Gettysburg. The accommodations blend historic charm with modern comforts, featuring cozy rooms equipped with jacuzzis for two, cable television, Wi-Fi, and gas fireplaces. Each guest room is thoughtfully decorated to reflect the farm’s colonial heritage, with touches of antique décor and views of the surrounding countryside. The original farmhouse, dating back to the mid-1700s, stands as a testament to the ingenuity of early American settlers, constructed from mud bricks and straw sourced from the property’s clay soil[1][2]. Guests are invited to begin their stay with a welcoming tour, sampling local products such as Adams County apples and homemade treats. The bed and breakfast is ideal for romantic getaways, family vacations, or solo retreats, offering tranquility and hospitality in a setting rich with history. Visitors can explore the farm’s country store, stroll through gardens, or relax on the porch while taking in the peaceful rural landscape. With its blend of historical significance and contemporary amenities, Hickory Bridge Farm’s bed and breakfast provides a unique lodging experience that connects guests to the region’s past while ensuring comfort and relaxation.
