Each season brings a variety of activities near the farm. In the spring, guests enjoy apple blossoms, the antique markets. Summer offers nearby swimming, golfing, touring Gettysburg, or hiking on the Appalachian Trail (just 10 miles away). The fall foliage flames the mountains with colors, and the crisp Autumn air invites the guests to take a lovely walk into the mountains. Many Fall harvest festivals and craft fairs are celebrated in the area at this time of the year.
In Winter, a blanket of snow transforms the farm into a picturesque winter wonderland. Nearby Liberty Mountain Resort is frequently enjoyed by our guests.
Hickory Bridge Farm Museum & Country Store
The farm museum and country are located just behind the restaurant. The farm museum houses a collection of antique farm equipment. Many guests enjoy seeing our "hit n' miss" engines, wagons, tractors, tools and other related gadgets. This is a free of charge exhibit

Antiques and New Oxford Antiques are hard to beat. The Gettysburg Antique Outdoor show is offered in the Spring and the Fall. The New Oxford Antique street fair is an annual show that is planned in the middle of June. New Oxford is a small town east of Gettysburg. New Oxford antique shops are in abundance and are open for everyday shopping

The National Fire Academy is in Emmitsburg, Maryland, and is only 13 miles from Hickory Bridge Farm. Students attend this training facility from all over the world. If you are visiting the National Fire Academy you may want to enhance your experience with a visit to the farm!
